Vicinity specializes in detecting consumer wearable cameras like Meta Ray-Ban and Snap Spectacles through their unique wireless signatures. It does not detect wired analog hidden cameras.
No. Vicinity works 100% locally on your device from the moment you open the app. We don't collect emails, names, or any telemetry.

Out of the box: Meta Ray-Ban (Gen 1 & 2), Snap Spectacles, and select Bose Frames. Our team updates the signature database weekly as new consumer devices reach market.
Smart glasses record without warning lights or shutters. Observers deserve awareness. By notifying you calmly and privately, Vicinity acts as a subtle sensory extension — not an alarmist detector.
